Air Conditioning Products

Sturtevant was one of the original air conditioning manufacturers, predating all current companies except Carrier.

Sturtevant designed and installed apparatus was used in the first industrial process application at Baker Chocolate, Milton,MA. One of the first comfort A/C systems was installed by them at Chicago's Congress Hotel in 1910.

Westinghouse temporarily merged the two companies products lines under the Westinghouse-Sturtevant label in 1945. In 1954, the entire A/C business was transferred to Virginia as a separate division.
