About
1890, with a rapid acceptance of electricity as a motive force in
industry occuring, Sturtevant established an Electrical
Department.
A full line of DC motors was developed ranging from
fractional horsepower to large generators of
about 600kw capacity. To this was added AC motors sometime after
WW1.
The entire line ended in 1945.
